A Timeless Event

Last night the Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic gathered at Breguet’s Fifth Avenue boutique to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the invention of the wristwatch — the first of which was created by Abraham-Louis Breguet for the Queen of Naples.

Honored guest for the evening was Music Director Alan Gilbert, who was joined by Executive Director Designate Matthew VanBesien, and Board Member Joshua Bell, among others to toast Breguet, the official timepiece of the New York Philharmonic.
