The Brooklyn Globetrotter
Bravo to 10-year-old Brooklynite Milo Poniewozik,  whose composition, The Globetrotter, was premiered by the New York Philharmonic at today’s School Day Concert.
Milo, one of the Credit Suisse Very Young Composers, shared his inspiration with the audience of third- through sixth-graders:
“The Globetrotter is a make-believe adventurer who travels the world making escapes from different tricks and traps. It’s a more comical version of Indiana Jones. You should listen for the suspenseful and playful moments and how the background music, like the flute and harp, contribute to the piece.”
