Generations of Cellists
New York Philharmonic cellists past and present had a reunion of sorts over the weekend, as former Orchestra members Nancy Donaruma (second from left), Evangeline Benedetti (second from right), and Avron Coleman (right) joined current Associate Principal Cello Eileen Moon at the inaugural event for Friends of the Warwick Valley Humane Society. Moon recently founded the organization in Warwick, New York.
The Principal Brass, a quintet of the Philharmonic’s principal brass players, performed a benefit concert, and all proceeds were donated to the Warwick Valley Humane Society.
