chialyn: YES YES YES! The New York Philharmonic’s wonderful production of Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY is being released on DVD/Blu-Ray on Nov. 13, 2012!! I saw this in the movie theater; much appreciation for the fact that this was filmed and made accessible to audiences nationwide, and not limited to those who were lucky enough to see it live in New York. I LOVED it. This is one of those things that literally makes me clap my hands and squeak with joy. So, so happy about this news! You’re in good Company. Don’t forget, the Philharmonic has added a special Symphonic Sondheim evening, conducted by Paul Gemignani, to the calendar for January 29. Save that date, too.
