Love Ya, Man Notes left by Philharmonic fans at Emanuel Ax’s 100th performance with the Orchestra, which he gave in April  2011, made their affection for the pianist clear. Manny begins his new role as the 2012–13 Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence this week, starting with an intriguing program matching his first-ever concert performances of Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D minor, with Schoenberg’s Piano Concerto.  The engaging and enthusiastic pianist will join Music Director Alan Gilbert in discussing the latter work from the stage at each performance.
