Due to the continuing ramifications of Hurricane Sandy, the Philharmonic has had to adjust this week’s rehearsal schedule for concerts on Thursday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m., and Saturday, November 3 at 8:00 p.m., to be conducted by Charles Dutoit. The first two works on the concert have therefore been changed.
The new program will include Glinka’s Overture to Ruslan and Ludmila and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Nikolai Lugansky, making his Philharmonic debut. It will conclude with the previously scheduled Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
