Happy Birthday, Jean-Yves Thibaudet!
The renowned pianist will join the New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert for A New Yorker’s New Year’s Eve, showcasing music by Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, both of whom spent most of their working lives in New York. The concert, which will be broadcast nationally on Live From Lincoln Center on PBS, will feature Bernstein’s Overture to Candide and Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Gershwin’s Concerto in F and Rhapsody in Blue, both played by Mr. Thibaudet.
