Went to Prospect Park to watch the New York Philharmonic play! Picked up food at Whole Foods, traveled to Brooklyn, and had a great time. They’re so good! It was beautiful weather too. Also, the night ended in wonderful magical fireworks. YAY.

Birthday Greetings to Ottorino
Today marks the 133rd birthday of Ottorino Respighi, best known for his Roman Trilogy of tone poems. His musical salute to the urban outdoors will be part of the program when the New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks return this week. Alan Gilbert conducts Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, on Wednesday, and on The Great Lawn in Central Park, on Friday. Arrive early, stake out your spot, and say “Ciao!”
