Lindberg Torte
During Magnus Lindberg’s three years as the Philharmonic’s inaugural Marie-Josée Kravis Composer-in-Residence, New York audiences have gotten a big helping of his new orchestral music, from EXPO through to the Piano Concerto No. 2.
Tonight his chamber music will be served up as dessert at New York Philharmonic Offstage: Target Free Thursday, beginning at 8:30 p.m. at the David Rubenstein Atrium (Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets). Stop by for a free serving of conversation between the Finnish composer and 105.9 FM WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon, topped off with performances of Lindberg’s Dos Coyotes, Trio, and three solo piano works.
